Sainsbury wanted to increase their sales floor to several key stores that were overtrading but had been unable through previous reviews to discover how to achieve this critical improvement to their business.

The Piano concept created a new enlarged modern sales floor at first floor which was plugged into the existing ‘back of house’. The old sales floor was then removed and new increased customer car parking created under the new sales floor with the addition of a mezzanine level.

Innovative prefabrication and programme techniques permitted continuous trading and reduced the impact on local neighbours whilst delivering a state of the art modern store.
