East Side Story

High Street East is a landmark urban mixed use development forming a gateway to Brentford High Street for Essential Living. The development comprises a food store, retail and restaurants with 221 private rented flats creating a vital town centre scheme.

Extensive public realm is at the heart of the place and has shaped the development footprint. A new piazza on the old line of St Paul’s Road links the High Street with St Paul’s Church and re-establishes a long lost townscape vista. The scheme reactivates the old High Street by creating a real ‘sense of place’ with active frontages forming a key integral element of the residential threshold and reinforcing civic pride.

Extensive community and stale holder engagement with a close working relationship with the local authority resulted in the successful granting of a detailed town planning permission.
