First Past the Post

This Town Planning approved regenerative mixed-use scheme includes a 70,000 sq ft food store, 143 residential units with 40% affordable, a new bus node and major public realm enhancements.

The scheme proposes the repair and completion of the Green Promenade between Montpellier Terrace and Pittville Spa and the reinstatement of the Regency Street pattern following detailed analysis to unravel Cheltenham’s unique character and DNA.

A new public square on the pivotal point of the promenade forms a key setting for Holy Trinity Church and acts as a focal point for the new residential quarter, whilst a less informal public square forms the collective hub connecting the northern part of the town to the commercial quarter.

"...highest commercial acumen...able to quickly grasp complex conflicting elements to produce solutions which work both architecturally and commercially. Well researched, engaging presentation and a clever masterplan on a sensitive urban site."
