Gone for a Burton

The remodelling of an underperforming 1990’s shopping centre to provide an attractive modern retail environment with larger units to support present day retailer’s demands thereby attracting new tenants to increase the investment return.

The principle elevation is updated with a crisp modern screen to provide a prominent entrance and frontage whilst the malls are refreshed with a simple palette of materials and the removal of visual clutter. New shopfronts create a harmonising framework whist increasing the nett lettable retail area and increasing the investment value.

The strategic design review and masterplan creates a framework to improve the overall centre in a phased manner to suit lease breaks and provide a simplified and sustainable servicing strategy to reduce the centre’s energy and carbon footprint as well as reducing the running costs and service charges.
