Revitalisation – Market Quarter, Harlow

As part of the regeneration and revitalisation of the northern sector of Harlow Town Centre the scheme transformed Gibberd’s masterplan into 21st century life, building on Harlow’s Art and Cultural Heritage.

A new theatre and ‘Hub’ reinforces the arts quarter whilst the retail core is enhanced and increased by relocating the bus terminus and market thereby improving permeability and connectivity through the town centre.

To add further vitality new residential neighbourhoods within and on the edge of the town centre bring life beyond the working day whilst the Ring Road is downgraded to prioritise pedestrian movement.

"Imaginative and commercially astute...building on key heritage assets...with a persuasive interpersonal engagement"
